About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Town Planner to join our property team at EG On The Move. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for a portfolio of sites, working closely with our Acquisitions team and Project Managers to obtain planning consents for various developments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Planning Review: Liaise with the Acquisitions team and coordinate with Project Managers to ensure timely and effective planning processes.
  • Site Assessments: Conduct thorough site assessments, including policy analysis, planning history, and material considerations to determine developability.
  • Planning Advice: Provide expert planning advice to the business on emerging policy and its implications.
  • Kick-off Meetings: Facilitate kick-off meetings to ensure a clear understanding of project objectives and timelines.
  • Consultant Team Management: Identify and manage consultant teams, including disciplines and suitable firms.
  • Planning Issues: Identify and follow up on specific planning issues with consultants and Project Managers, providing strategic advice to secure approval.
  • In-House Planning Applications: Manage in-house planning applications, working closely with Project Managers.
  • Condition Discharge: Manage Condition Discharge, including submissions and coordination with Highway Managers and Project Managers.
  • Enforcement: Manage enforcement issues, including in-house management.
  • Graduate Planner Development: Coach and develop the Graduate Planner to maximize their performance.
  • Appeals: Manage the appeal process, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
  • S.73 Applications: Manage S.73 applications, including submissions and in-house management.
  • Consultant Framework Reviews: Conduct reviews of consultant frameworks to ensure alignment with business objectives.
