Quality Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Engineer to join our team at Octagon Group. As a Quality Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our products and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer and Supplier Interface: Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and suppliers to ensure their quality requirements are met.
  • Quality Data Analysis: Collect and analyze quality data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Quality Management Systems: Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems to ensure compliance with industry standards.

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of problem-solving methods, including Six Sigma, 8D, and root cause analysis.
  • Knowledge of Quality System requirements and effective new product development methodologies.
  • Proficient in lean manufacturing techniques, including pFMEA, Critical to Quality characteristics, and Control Plans.
  • Familiarity with industry and customer-specific quality registration schemes and certification processes.
  • Skilled in system and process auditing techniques to ensure compliance with defined quality requirements.
