Category Coordinator

We are seeking a highly organised and efficient Category Coordinator to join our Buying team at Harding+. As a Category Coordinator, you will provide administrative support to the Category Buyer and assist with various aspects of buying, including vendor management, range management, and cross-functional working.
About the Role
- You will work closely with the Category Buyer to maintain systems data for your category, represent the company through positive relationships with suppliers, external contacts, and colleagues. You will also assist with selecting ranges, planning assortments, and attending supplier meetings.
Key Responsibilities
- Vendor Management: Liaise with vendors, attend supplier meetings, and ensure actions are implemented and followed up.
- Range Management: Assist with maintaining the category range, obtaining samples for range reviews, and updating critical paths and schedules for new product launches. Ensure accurate pricing and raise SKUs and POs promptly.
- Cross-functional working: Collaborate with teams across Merchandising, Marketing, Operations, and Customer Service to ensure optimal category performance and guest experience.
Requirements
- Retail experience or exposure to buying in an FMCG environment is advantageous.
- A team player who excels in an entrepreneurial environment and delivers results against challenging targets.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail is crucial.
- High level of competence with Microsoft Office suite, particularly Microsoft Excel.
- Structured planning, organisation, and time management skills are essential, with the ability to work independently.
Salary and Benefits
- Competitive salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum (dependent on experience).
- Bonus scheme, pension, 4 x life assurance, healthcare, 25 days' leave annually, including Christmas shutdown.
