About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team in the Nuclear industry. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the development of innovative designs for major projects within a multi-disciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop design concepts using Inventor, layouts, and detailed engineering documentation.
  • Ensure designs conform to British and European Nuclear standards and meet client requirements.
  • Lead a small team of design engineers or work independently, as required.
  • Produce design justification reports that address technical risks and safety concerns.
  • Manage designs within the constraints of project schedules and budgets.

Requirements:

  • Strong leadership abilities and attention to detail.
  • Experience in mechanical system design using Inventor.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and manage technical risks.
  • Nuclear or Defence background essential.
