About the Role

South Shore Health System is seeking a skilled Materials Specialist to join our Sterile Supply Chain Management team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing daily materials operations, performing preventive maintenance on equipment, and maintaining appropriate levels of sterile medical/surgical supplies.

The ideal candidate will have a basic knowledge of computers and be proficient in all areas of materials management, including supply chain logistics, receiving, and distribution. They will also ensure proper training and proficiencies among team members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support daily materials operations, including equipment maintenance and supply chain management
  • Maintain accurate records of assignments, service requests, and delivery verification
  • Represent the department in a professional manner and provide excellent customer service
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • Basic knowledge of computers
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
