About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Building Control professional to join our team at Peterborough City Council. As a key member of our Building Control department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our city's construction projects meet the highest standards of safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct site inspections and assessments to ensure compliance with building regulations and codes.
  • Review and approve building plans and specifications to ensure they meet regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to resolve technical issues and ensure compliance.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to stakeholders on building control matters.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in building regulations and codes, and implement new procedures and processes as needed.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a Class 2 'Registered Building Inspector' qualification.
