We are looking for a highly skilled Material Handling Engineer to join our team at Clarity Recruiting Ltd. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for providing on-site maintenance and repair services to our clients across the UK.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Perform routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a range of forklift trucks, including electric, diesel, and LPG-powered models.
  2. Identify and resolve mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
  3. Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients, understanding their needs, and explaining the work performed.
  4. Travel to various client locations to provide on-site support, including emergency breakdown assistance and scheduled maintenance.
  5. Evaluate and recommend improvements to our maintenance processes and procedures.
  6. Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices to continually improve service delivery.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a forklift engineer or similar role in the material handling industry.
  • Strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic knowledge with the ability to diagnose and repair forklift trucks.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Good physical condition with the ability to lift heavy parts and equipment.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic software and basic computer skills for documentation purposes.
