Lead a team of engineers to deliver mechanical design solutions within project budgets and timelines.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Principal Rotating Equipment Engineer to lead our Mechanical activities in developing Mechanical designs within project budget and determining timing for resource requirements. As a key member of our team, you will serve as the liaison for inter-discipline engineering involved in the project and be accountable for overall discipline-related activities for the successful completion of the project, on schedule and within manpower and budget estimates.

The successful candidate will work closely with our Project Engineering Manager or Project Manager to ensure that all Mechanical Engineering work is delivered to the highest standards. You will also be responsible for identifying and resolving discrepancies and divergences from original proposals/contracts by raising technical queries and/or identifying trends and changes within the framework of management of change.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise a team of engineers to address all discipline-specific requirements within the project.
  • Perform general duties with no direct supervision and within agreed schedules and budgets.
  • Liaise with other disciplines to achieve design consistency for projects and departments.
  • Support the Project Management Team in planning, and identifying technical issues which could limit progress, impact project budgets. Interfacing with clients.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of £80,000-£120,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to a generous salary, we also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including a contributory pension scheme, private health insurance, and 25 days' annual leave.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Mechanical Engineering and significant experience in rotating equipment engineering. They will be able to demonstrate excellent leadership skills, strong technical knowledge, and excellent communication skills. The role requires the ability to work effectively in a team environment and to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
