Support Children with Special Educational Needs

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Special Educational Needs Support Assistant. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting children with diverse learning requirements in Primary Schools in Cheam.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one support to students, tailoring your approach to meet their unique needs and helping them grasp concepts and build essential skills.
  • Collaborate with educators and therapists to develop personalized learning plans and ensure the best outcomes for each child.
  • Encourage communication and social skills, facilitating interactions between students and fostering confidence and friendships.
  • Celebrate progress and witness the growth and achievements of your students, sharing in their successes.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently but also as a team member
  • A passion for working with children and making a real impact on their lives
  • Some experience of supporting children is necessary, with experience in schools, with children, with SEN, as a graduate, a youth mentor, sports coach or anything else similar preferred.
