We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Housekeeping to join our team at Barchester Healthcare. As a key member of our care home team, you will be responsible for leading a team of housekeeping staff to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation across the care home.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of housekeeping staff to ensure that every room and living space is maintained to the highest standards.
  • Develop and implement effective cleaning schedules and procedures to ensure a clean and safe environment for residents.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure a seamless delivery of care and support services.
  • Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and presentation of all areas of the care home, including bedrooms, communal areas, and outdoor spaces.
  • Ensure that all housekeeping staff receive the necessary training and support to perform their duties effectively.
Requirements
  • Experience of housekeeping in a care home, hospital or hotel environment.
  • Proven ability to lead and inspire a team.
  • Caring nature and good communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
