Paraplanning Specialist

A Paraplanner position has become available at a respected financial advisory firm based in Oxfordshire. The company seeks an experienced individual to join their team as a dedicated Paraplanner, responsible for conducting comprehensive financial research and supporting Financial Planners in client meetings.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial planning, excellent analytical skills, and a client-centred approach. Key responsibilities include:

• Conducting in-depth financial analysis and research to develop tailored planning recommendations and oversee their implementation.
• Reviewing and managing client portfolios to ensure alignment with benchmarks and maintaining portfolio health over time.
• Fostering client relationships and serving as the primary contact for any queries in client meetings alongside Financial Planners.
• Assessing client information to produce detailed cash flow projections and scenarios using financial planning tools.
• Coordinating with product providers and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication and smooth process execution.

Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar financial planning role is essential.
• A Diploma in Financial Planning (Dip PFS) is highly preferred.
• The successful candidate will possess strong knowledge across financial planning areas: investment management, pensions, tax, protection, and estate planning.
• Excellent relationship building skills and attention to detail are crucial.
• Proficiency in cash flow modelling, preferably with Voyant, and experience in handling complex financial planning for high-net-worth clients are key requirements.
