Job Description

TPF Recruitment, a leading provider of accountancy practice recruitment services, is seeking an experienced Accounts and Audit Senior to join one of the UK's top 15 chartered accountancy practices in Kent.

The successful candidate will work in a friendly and supportive environment with full study support and excellent progression opportunities. The company operates from a modern office in Maidstone and offers a hybrid working schedule, allowing staff to balance work and personal life.

The role involves working with a diverse range of clients, including owner-managed businesses and not-for-profit organizations. As an Accounts and Audit Senior, you will be responsible for:

  • Preparing company accounts and corporation tax returns
  • Preparing accounts for sole traders, Ltd companies, and partnerships
  • Assisting in the preparation of the audit plan and ensuring it addresses audit objectives
  • Taking an active part in audit planning and fraud discussions to identify audit risks and strategies
  • Overseeing all aspects of audit fieldwork and completion
  • Ensuring planned audit work is completed to satisfy audit objectives

You will have the opportunity to work with a variety of clients, including small and large companies, and gain valuable experience in audit and accounts preparation.

Requirements

The successful candidate will have:

  • At least 2+ years of practice experience in accounts preparation and assisting with audits, particularly fieldwork
  • AAT qualified or ACCA/ACA studying
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to work autonomously
  • Experience in dealing with clients face-to-face
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
