Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Practitioner to join our team at the Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our First Point of Contact Centre, you will be responsible for managing and triaging mental health referrals, providing support to patients and carers, and working closely with our team of Senior Mental Health Practitioners and Operational Managers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Triage mental health referrals and direct them to the most appropriate service
  • Provide support to patients and carers, including crisis referrals under supervision
  • Work closely with our team of Senior Mental Health Practitioners and Operational Managers to develop and implement effective care pathways
  • Contribute to the development of our First Point of Contact Centre, including identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes

Requirements:

  • Registered Mental Health Practitioner status or equivalent experience
  • European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL) or equivalent
  • Demonstrable experience in mental health or related areas, including first-line assessments and risk assessment
  • Excellent written and communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of agencies
