We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Business Operations Coordinator to join our team at Thames Water. As a key member of our operations team, you will provide administrative support to ensure the smooth running of our business operations.
Key Responsibilities- Provide administrative support to the operations team, including preparing reports, managing records, and coordinating meetings.
- Assist with the management of operational tasks, including purchasing, inventory management, and stock control.
- Collaborate with the performance manager to ensure the smooth running of the team and support the controller of premises activities.
- Engage with our facilities management contractor to raise and resolve issues identified by the team.
- Ensure key information is kept up to date and that the team has the tools and equipment needed to perform their roles.
- Support the tracking and management of reservoir, water quality, and health and safety actions.
- Monitor stock and chemical levels to maintain area and team resilience.
- Raise purchase orders for parts, equipment, and chemicals, and track orders to maintain awareness of budget position.
- Manage meeting room bookings and induct visitors to sites.
- Assist performance and site managers with customer contacts to ensure a harmonious relationship with customers.
- Significant experience working in a related role, with relevant technical expertise typically derived from a minimum of 2 years of work experience.
- Ability to quickly learn and apply knowledge of the operation of the area where the job operates.
- Very good verbal and written communication skills, including strong customer focus.
- Good organizational skills, with the ability to work personally well organized.
- Fully competent at using the appropriate Company IT systems and Office software.
- A competitive salary up to £28,000 pro rata.
- 24 days holiday per year increasing to 28 with the length of service (plus bank holidays) (pro rata).
