Underwriter - North America Professional Lines

A leading insurer in the world seeks a skilled underwriter to join its North America Professional Lines team.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced underwriter to work with our team, leveraging their expertise to deliver excellent results.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Business Growth: Meet financial goals by underwriting new business and renewals within assigned authority.
  • Portfolio Management: Contribute to formulating underwriting strategy, forecasts, and portfolio management to maintain profitability.
  • Producer Management: Represent Chubb corporately through customer, broker, partner, and colleague relationships to achieve business objectives.
  • Team Collaboration: Participate in meetings to share and develop strategy, knowledge, and best practice.
  • Operational Efficiency: Work closely with Underwriting and Operations to drive improved operational efficiencies.
  • Brand Ambassadorship: Maintain a strong external reputation consistent with Chubb's core values and culture.
Requirements:
  • Technical Expertise: Understanding of class-specific underwriting and insurance knowledge.
  • Professional Qualifications: ACII qualified or working towards qualification, continuing to develop technical and broader business skills.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Collaborative Mindset: Ability to work on own initiative, demonstrating high-energy, commitment, passion, and ambition.
