Your new companyAs a leading recruitment agency, Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited is seeking a skilled Maintenance Plumber to join their team at HMP Durham. This is an exciting opportunity to work within the prison service.

Your new role

You will be required to:

  • Fix broken toilets
  • Fix broken pipework
  • Install new toilets and sinks
  • Unblock toilets and sinks
  • You may be required to assist other trades as and when needed

You will be required to complete and pass a security clearance prior to starting the position. The working hours are Monday to Friday, 7:45am to 4:45pm, with one in three weekends required. Once settled into the role, you will be required to be part of the on-call rota.

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a Level 2 or 3 qualification in Plumbing. You must also be able to pass a full prison security clearance and enhanced DBS check. Additionally, you must hold a valid passport or full birth certificate and photo driving licence in your current address. You must also have proof of National Insurance and proof of address dated in the past three months.
