About the RoleWe are recruiting for an Electrical Technician to join our team in Fife. The successful candidate will undertake building maintenance tasks, including emergency, reactive, planned, and corrective works, in accordance with required service level agreements and key performance indicators.
Job Responsibilities- Maintenance, refurbishment, and installation works of electrical services, including emergency lighting, LV switchgear, distribution boards, mains and sub-mains cabling, containment, lighting, and other electrical equipment.
- Knowledge of inspection and testing procedures and certification of works upon completion in accordance with relevant standards.
- Reactive and planned service works issued through the helpdesk within set time frames to meet client expectations.
- PPM, proactive, and reactive works issued through the helpdesk within set time frames to meet customer expectations.
- Multidisciplinary trades knowledge in electrical distribution systems (LV), mechanical ventilation, HVAC, chillers, plumbing/CWST systems, and LTHW heating services.
- Contractor control duties, monitoring contractors, and workmanship to ensure relevant standards are met.
- Ensuring equipment operates to specified performance criteria.
- Evaluating performance and ensuring proper servicing and maintenance of equipment under contract.
- Proactive approach to client liaison, addressing concerns, and relaying them to management as necessary.
- Working safely, complying with Health & Safety legislation and Company H&S policy.
- Approved Electrician NVQ level 3 / City & Guilds 2391 / 18th Edition qualification.
- Recognised Apprenticeship.
- Previous experience working within building maintenance and minor works environment.
- Previous experience working with HVAC equipment and controls.
- Previous experience with LV motor controls and associated control panels.
- Full clean driving licence.
- Full disclosure is a contractual requirement.
- Flexible approach to work scheduling.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication skills (oral and written).
- Use of computer systems/iPads to maintain electronic work schedules.
