Pricing Actuary

At The Emerald Group Ltd, Search and Selection, we are seeking a skilled Pricing Actuary to join our team. As a key member of our Actuarial Pricing Function, you will play a crucial role in supporting the pricing of treaty reinsurance contracts and large risks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain pricing tools to support underwriters in structuring and pricing contracts.
  • Provide regular management reports on rate changes, pricing adequacy, and expected loss ratios.
  • Collaborate closely with underwriters, clients, and internal departments to ensure effective pricing support.

Requirements:

  • 2:1 or higher degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or Actuarial Science.
  • Partly or fully qualified actuary.
  • 2-4 years of General Insurance experience, including 1-2 years in pricing general insurance or treaty reinsurance.
  • Advanced MS Excel proficiency and knowledge of actuarial pricing techniques for primary, excess of loss, and catastrophe products.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
