Business Development Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our team at Venatu Recruitment Group. As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with existing customers, as well as identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Account manage existing customers to develop strong relationships
  • Proactively approach dormant customers to develop new orders and repeat business
  • Reporting on accounts progress to management
  • Maintain extensive knowledge of current market conditions
  • Face to face meetings with prospective and current clients
  • Following up on leads which you will generate
  • Prospecting and acquiring new business accounts
  • Research organisations and reach out to the appropriate person
  • Quoting for and winning orders
  • Attend industry trade shows and association meetings
  • Develop a good working knowledge of company's products

Requirements:

  • Able to plan own schedule
  • Be able to work remotely and from own initiative
  • Experience within face-to-face sales
  • Experience with trade shows acting as the company representative
  • An ambitious, determined, self-starter
  • Tenacity and drive to seek new business and exceed targets
  • Willingness to learn about company products
  • UK driving licence & willing to travel throughout the UK
  • Experience of selling security doors is preferred but it is not essential.
  • Excellent telephone manner and strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Competent computer skills, and experience with Excel and CRM software would be preferred.
