Job Title: Fleet Technician
The Welsh Ambulance NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fleet Technician to join their team. As a key member of the fleet maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the trust's fleet of emergency and non-emergency vehicles are properly serviced and maintained to the highest standards.
Main Responsibilities:
- Receive and execute a daily/weekly work schedule from the Workshop Supervisor, working independently or as part of a team to complete tasks within the allotted time frame.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest vehicle specifications, including Mercedes and Renault, and attend relevant training courses as required to maintain knowledge and skill levels.
- Use diagnostic equipment to identify and analyze vehicle faults, and recommend cost-effective repair or replacement solutions.
- Carry out repair and maintenance work on a range of Trust equipment, including specialized training requirements.

Requirements:
- City & Guilds/BTEC/NVQ3 in Motor Vehicle Technology or equivalent
- Accreditation in relevant manufacturers' training courses and Certification of Competence
- Extensive knowledge of vehicle specifications and equipment
- Auto electrical, welding, and fabrication techniques and procedures
- Good knowledge of Fleet Workshop policies, procedures, and practices
- Preparation and repair work to MOT specification
- Service, maintain, and repair specialist equipment
Desirable Qualities:
- Ability to speak Welsh
