Job DescriptionThe Care Home Unit Manager role at Chilton Meadows Care Home involves leading a team to provide exceptional personal care to residents, promoting their well-being and independence every day. Key responsibilities include managing a unit, supporting clinical duties, overseeing a team of Care Assistants, and fostering relationships with residents and their families.
- Managing a unit on a daily basis
- Supporting with clinical duties, including observing, administering medication, reviewing care plans, and maintaining accurate records
- Overseeing and managing a team of Care Assistants, ensuring smooth shift handovers and effective teamwork
- Providing guidance and supervision to new staff members to ensure a warm welcome and support
- Developing relationships with residents, their families, and external teams like GPs and District Nurses
- Assisting residents with various personal care tasks
