About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chef de Partie to join our team at Holroyd Howe, a leading contract caterer providing fresh and innovative food services to independent schools and colleges.

As a Chef de Partie, you will be responsible for collaborating with our culinary team to craft flavourful dishes that nourish both body and mind. You will assist the Head Chef in all aspects of food preparation, production, and service, ensuring the quality and presentation of all dishes meet the company's standards and client expectations.

You will also supervise and train kitchen staff, kitchen assistants, ensuring adherence to food safety and sanitation procedures. Additionally, you will assist in menu planning and development, taking into consideration dietary restrictions, nutritional guidelines, and seasonal ingredients.

We are looking for a candidate with a strong knowledge of food safety standards and best practices, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will be required to work efficiently under pressure in a high-volume kitchen environment and have a flexible approach to work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Head Chef in food preparation, production, and service
  • Ensure quality and presentation of dishes meet company standards
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff and kitchen assistants
  • Assist in menu planning and development
  • Oversee stock control and ordering
  • Collaborate with catering team to execute special events
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
  • Support Head Chef in administrative tasks
Requirements
  • Previous experience working in a similar role
  • Culinary degree or relevant certifications
  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
