CNC Turner Programmer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled CNC Turner Programmer to join our team in the manufacturing industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for programming CNC turning machines to produce high-quality components.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Program CNC turning machines to fabricate precision parts using FANUC Systems
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings to determine machining requirements
  • Use hand tools and measuring equipment to ensure accuracy of machined parts
  • Assemble components using various techniques including welding
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to develop and improve machining processes
  • Utilise CAD software for programming CNC machines
  • Perform tooling changes and adjustments as necessary
  • Monitor machine operations and make adjustments to ensure quality standards are met
  • Implement logic controllers for automated machining processes
  • Handle materials effectively, ensuring proper handling and storage practices
Requirements:
  • Proficiency in using hand tools and equipment common in CNC machining
  • Experience with milling operations and assembly techniques
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings accurately
  • Proficient in CAD software for programming CNC machines
  • Knowledge of tooling procedures for CNC turning operations
  • Welding skills for component assembly
  • Familiarity with logic controllers for automated processes
  • Competence in materials handling practices
  • Strong mathematical skills for basic calculations related to machining processes
