Business Support Officer

We are seeking a highly motivated Business Support Officer to join our team, working in four family hubs across the borough. As a key member of our Early Help Service, you will provide administrative support to managers and front-line staff, ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the service.
About the RoleThe ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to work effectively with various stakeholders. You will be responsible for maintaining complex documents, reports, and correspondence, using standard formats and software. Additionally, you will organize and maintain records and documents, ensuring all new families' details are registered, and process and maintain referral, service activity, and service user information on all appropriate systems.
Responsibilities- To greet visitors and provide a welcoming first point of contact, dealing confidently and constructively with enquiries in an articulate and helpful manner;
- To provide an efficient customer-facing service to users of Early Help and input information onto the relevant databases;
- Maintain database accuracy and generate reports for management information in a timely and efficient manner;
- Organize and maintain records and documents, ensuring all new family's details are registered;
- Process and maintain referral, service activity, and service user information on all appropriate systems;
- Communicate effectively and act as point of contact for the service, resolving problems within the scope of the role and escalating to line manager as required;
- Carry out duties with reasonable care for the health and safety of yourself and others, reporting any potential hazards or unsafe practices to the line manager;
- Evaluate service impact through accurate and timely data record collection;
- Provide information to users and potential users on services and activities available through settings across the hubs;
- Ensure timetables and information are up-to-date and available for families and partners attending Children's Centre buildings;
- Collect details from parents/carers relating to themselves and their children for centre evaluation statistics and enter data onto an appropriate database in a timely and accurate manner;
- Assist managers in coordinating IT issues and accommodation needs for the building;
- Report on service performance, including preparation for Ofsted inspections, and other data requests as required;
- A competitive salary of £33,291 per annum;
