About the Role


We are seeking a highly skilled Critical Care Medicine Specialist to join our team at Medway NHS Foundation Trust.


The successful candidate will work within our Care Quality Commission rated "Outstanding" critical care team as a consultant in critical care medicine, providing first-class critical care to our local population.


Key duties of the role include participating in the critical care consultant on-call rota, providing additional consultant clinical services dependent on the dual specialty, undertaking quality improvement activity/clinical audit, and supervising and teaching medical students, nursing, and trainee medical staff.


Person Specification



  • Full GMC Registration
  • Appropriate postgraduate qualifications (FRCA, FFICM, EDICM, DICM, MRCP, FRCEM) or equivalent
  • Entry onto the specialist register as CCT in single ICM or CCT in ICM with Anaesthesia, Emergency Medicine or Acute Medicine or Respiratory Medicine
  • Or within 6 months of anticipated CCT or having submitted CESR application at interview date
