Job Title: Warehouse Operative

Location: Swindon

Pay Rate: £13.81 p/h raising to £14.26 p/h after completion of 12 weeks

Shifts: Monday – Wednesday 20:00pm – 06:00am and Thursday 20:00pm – 05:30am

Contract: Temporary ongoing

Gap personnel are proud to be working together with a leading global manufacturer of Lead-Acid and Lithium-ion batteries based in Swindon, who are currently looking for Warehouse Operative to support busy Warehouse department.

Job Duties:

  • Operating in narrow aisles for storing and retrieving pallets in racking
  • Loading and unloading heavy materials
  • High picks
  • Ability to work accurately and safely
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Ability to spot quality issues and able to confidently report issues to a Team Lead/Supervisor
  • Stock replenishment in high locations in racking
  • Stock put away to high locations in racking

Ideal candidate will have:

  • Proven experience in operating Reach truck in the past
  • In date Reach FLT licence
  • Enthusiastic work ethic with a willingness to improve and make a difference
  • Ability to problem solve and think outside the box
  • Ability to go the extra mile and be flexible with working hours when needed
  • Ability to follow & fully understand instructions and be able to clearly explain requirements to others
  • Good team skills to be able to work with others and lead from the front
  • Good verbal & written communication skills
  • Good attention to detail

Due to nature of the business, Health and Safety induction and walkaround will be held on site. Prior to any interview and walkaround, maths test to be completed by the candidate on site in presence of and agency representative. All interviews will be held on site too.
