About the Role
We are looking for an experienced General Manager with a proven track record of managing high-end quality bespoke joinery projects. The ideal candidate will have experience working within the construction industry, preferably dealing with joinery or related sectors. They will be responsible for overseeing operations, managing production, warehousing, and distribution, as well as implementing strategies to drive productivity, purchasing, and logistics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute functional business plans to grow a small to medium-sized business
- Manage staff selection, performance, development, and training to ensure team competencies and capabilities meet targets
- Promote and ensure Health and Safety procedures are adhered to across the business
- Prepare and control budgets and schedules for operations
Requirements:
- Demonstrable ability to execute business plans and drive growth in a small to medium-sized business
- Experience in a General Manager or Operations Manager role within the construction industry
- Strong commercial and financial acumen, with excellent communication skills across all levels
- Ability to resolve complex business problems, with a high level of man management experience
- Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and 5S methodologies
