Job Overview:

In this role as a HGV Class 2 Driver, you will be responsible for servicing our reuse and recycling centres around North London, transferring waste between our centres and our waste transfer stations in Islington, Wembley, and the Eco Park in Edmonton.

We provide you with a truck that is fitted with the latest safety equipment and training that will give you the skills and confidence to drive around London in a safe and courteous manner, positively reflecting our highly focused safety culture.

This opportunity also offers scope for development and progression within the company.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Drive our fleet of vehicles safely and efficiently, adhering to all relevant regulations and company policies.
  2. Complete daily vehicle checks and report any defects to ensure only roadworthy vehicles are on the road.
  3. Maintain accurate records of vehicle operation, including tachograph data.
  4. Participate in regular training sessions to enhance your skills and knowledge.
  5. Report any incidents or hazards through our incident reporting app.
Requirements:
  1. A minimum of previous HGV class 2 driving experience, preferably in the waste industry.
  2. Possession of a valid Driver Qualification Card (DQC).
  3. Ability to work a 10-week rotating shift pattern, Monday to Sunday, with earliest shifts starting at 6:00 and latest shifts ending at 16:30.
  4. A valid digi-tacho card is required.
  5. Positive attitude, approachability, and reliability are essential traits for this role.
  6. FORS Safe Urban Driving Training would be beneficial but is not mandatory.
