Nursing Assistant Role within Correctional Services

As a Healthcare Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality nursing care to patients in HMP Bristol. You will work closely with a registered nurse to provide physical care to patients according to a written care plan, actively engaging with patients to promote holistic, needs-led care.
Your responsibilities will include providing health promotion activities and programmes, responding to patients' needs, and assisting patients to attain optimal physical health. You will also be required to take blood pressure, ECGs, and other observations, as well as demonstrate knowledge of wound care.
- To be eligible for this role, applicants must have hospital/primary care experience and possess the necessary qualifications and skills.
- A full driving license is not a requirement, but having one may be beneficial for travel between sites.
