Job Title: Residential Childcare Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Childcare Support Worker to join our team at Polaris Community. As a key member of our residential homes, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to young people with challenging behavior.

About the Role

This is a permanent position with excellent career prospects and a comprehensive training program. You will work on a 19-hour per week shift pattern, with 1 day on and 5 days off, including 1 sleep-in. You will be eligible for generous allowances for bank holidays, overtime hours, and a performance-related bonus scheme.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized care and support to young people with challenging behavior
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain a safe and supportive living environment
  • Develop and implement personalized care plans to promote the well-being and independence of young people
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure the highest standards of care
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge
Requirements
  • Qualified to QCF level 3 in Children and Young People, or willing to work towards the qualification
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Computer experience to an intermediate level
  • Full manual driving license
