Westlakes Recruit is seeking a skilled Class 2 HGV driver to join our team on a permanent basis. Located in Workington, this role offers a unique opportunity to work with a reputable company that values safety and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct daily vehicle safety checks and report any defects to the line supervisor.
- Ensure driving skills meet driver assessor audits, competency units, and licence requirements.
- Accurately record daily work and tachograph charts for a minimum of 28 days and a maximum of 42 days.
- Collect and deliver loads to vendors and customers in a safe and timely manner.
- Secure loads properly and ensure they are double strapped at all times.
- Provide necessary paperwork for deliveries and ensure receipt of paperwork upon collection of loads.
