As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and comfort of our customers while providing exceptional customer service. This role requires a high level of adaptability, proactive thinking, and multitasking skills.
Main Responsibilities- Ensure the safety of customers and colleagues at all times, staying alert to potential dangers and taking prompt action when necessary.
- Act as an ambassador for our company, striving to exceed customer expectations and providing a positive experience.
- Manage periods of disruption effectively, communicating changes to customers and ensuring a smooth journey.
- Be visible throughout journeys, proactively helping customers and ensuring everyone has a great and safe experience.
- Provide regular announcements, keeping customers informed of any changes or updates.
- Manage the operational safety of the train, including customer boarding and alighting, dispatching from platforms, and maintaining safety on board.
- Be prepared for change and flexible in times of disruption.
- Be able to multitask and work systematically in a team environment and autonomously.
- Enjoy interacting with customers and colleagues, going above and beyond to provide a great customer experience.
- Be able to recognize and act on changing safety and customer requirements.
- Maintain excellent focus and self-motivation for long periods of time.
- Undertake manual handling activities while moving through the train and assist passengers boarding and alighting.
On average, you will work 37 hours per week over 4.5 days, including a mix of early and late shifts across 7 days.
Additional InformationWe have strict requirements around drugs and alcohol, and you will need to pass a medical check to ensure your general health and eyesight are suitable for the role.
Travel time to the depot must not exceed 60 minutes, and a car is preferred due to limited public transport availability.
You must be over 18 years old and have a minimum of 12 months on your visa at the time of appointment.
The RewardYou will receive a competitive salary, rising to £42,647 per annum after completion of training and a further 12 months fully qualified. You will also receive an annual regional allowance of £474 and 5% commission on ticket sales.
