Job Description

Capital One (Europe) plc is seeking an Employment Relations Specialist to join our team in Nottingham. As a key member of our HR Shared Services team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality HR services and supporting the business in achieving its objectives.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in employee relations case management, with a strong focus on providing legislative and coaching advice to People Leaders and Associates. You will be responsible for managing a range of employee relations cases, including capability, absence management, flexible working, appeals, disciplinary, grievances, and Equality Act matters.

As an Employment Relations Specialist, you will work closely with senior team members to deliver proactive case management support and drive continuous improvement. You will also engage in HR policy development projects, maintain AR Pulse content, and participate in broader HR initiatives.

We offer a competitive salary of £38,000 - £48,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition, we provide a range of benefits, including a pension scheme, bonus, generous holiday entitlement, private medical insurance, season-ticket loans, cycle-to-work scheme, and enhanced parental leave.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage employee relations cases, including capability, absence management, flexible working, appeals, disciplinary, grievances, and Equality Act matters.
  • Provide legislative and coaching advice to People Leaders and Associates.
  • Engage in HR policy development projects and maintain AR Pulse content.
  • Participate in broader HR initiatives and drive continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience in employee relations case management.
  • Strong understanding of employment law and best practices.
  • Ability to balance associate needs with business needs and employment risk.
