About the Role

The Care Assistant role at Home Instead is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of older adults in our community. As a Care Assistant, you will provide high-quality care and support to our clients, enabling them to live independently and maintain their dignity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care and support to clients, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Assist with daily living activities, such as meal preparation and medication management
  • Encourage clients to engage in activities that promote physical and mental well-being
  • Build strong relationships with clients and their families, providing emotional support and companionship
  • Work collaboratively with other care professionals to ensure seamless care delivery

Requirements

  • Experience in supporting older adults, preferably in a care setting
  • NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Reliable and trustworthy, with a strong commitment to confidentiality
  • Valid driving license and access to a vehicle
