Key Responsibilities

As a Mechanical Design Engineer at Orion Electrotech Automation Careers, you will be responsible for designing innovative and market-leading automation machinery. Your role will involve working within a multi-discipline team to produce design solutions for a wide variety of industries.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Designing automation machinery that meets the needs of our clients across multiple industries
  • Collaborating with the team to develop concept designs and produce detailed machine and factory layouts
  • Creating Bills of Materials (BOMs) and providing technical support during the build, testing, and commissioning phases
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Mechanical design/engineering experience within the automation industry
  • A minimum HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering
  • Experience of using SolidWorks (ideally) and design for manufacture
  • Knowledge of a wide range of manufacturing techniques
