About the Role

Pearson is seeking a skilled and experienced individual to join our team as an Independent End-Point Assessor for Senior Healthcare Support Worker (Maternity Support) (Level 3). As an Independent End-Point Assessor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and integrity of our apprenticeship programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct end-point assessments for Senior Healthcare Support Worker (Maternity Support) apprentices, ensuring that they meet the required standards and competencies.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the apprenticeship standards, assessment plans, and quality assurance protocols.
  • Collaborate with Pearson's quality assurance representatives to ensure that all assessments are conducted to the highest standards.
  • Provide high-quality feedback to apprentices, highlighting areas of strength and weakness, and offering recommendations for improvement.
  • Contribute to the development of new assessment materials, tools, and resources, as needed.
  • Participate in regular training and standardization activities to maintain and enhance your skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Be occupationally competent in the maternity support field.
  • Hold a formal assessor qualification (e.g. A1, CAVA, etc.).
  • Have experience of working in a healthcare setting within the last 2 years.
  • Hold a current Enhanced DBS certificate registered for the update service.
  • Be able to commit to a minimum of two working days per week for the EPA role.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Hold an internal quality assurance qualification.
  • Have knowledge of prevent and safeguarding.
  • Have sufficient and relevant technical knowledge of the healthcare sector and the role of the maternity support worker.
  • Be able to assess and report risks.
