Role Overview

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated Learning Support for SEN students to join a vibrant client school in Eastleigh.

About the Role

This SEN Learning Support position involves providing dedicated support to students with special educational needs. The ideal candidate will be able to personalise their approach to meet each student's unique requirements and work collaboratively with SEN and classroom staff to implement effective learning strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individualised support to students with SEN, adapting your approach as needed to meet their diverse needs.
  • Collaborate closely with SEN and classroom staff to develop and implement tailored learning plans that address students' unique requirements.
  • Encourage student engagement during lessons, supporting focus, participation, and comprehension to enhance learning outcomes.
  • Contribute to creating an inclusive classroom environment where every student feels valued, respected, and inspired to learn.

Requirements

  • Experience in an SEN Learning Support role or similar position within a school environment is preferred.
  • A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs and fostering an inclusive, nurturing learning space.
  • Relevant qualifications such as CACHE Level 2 or 3, or NVQ, are desirable but not essential.
  • Patient, empathetic, and adaptable, with a proactive mindset toward supporting diverse learning needs.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or a willingness to obtain one if required.
