Master Machinist

Ruth Wagstaff Recruitment is a world-class company seeking an experienced CNC Setter / Operator (Turning) to work at their modern manufacturing site in Nottingham. The role involves operating and setting CNC Turning machines using Fanuc and Mazatrol controls.

The estimated salary for this position is £28,000 - £33,000 per annum, plus shift premium. The Company Bonus Scheme offers up to 5% of annual salary, and employees enjoy 25 Days Holidays plus bank holidays. Additionally, the facility features a modern gym and subsidised canteen.

The ideal candidate will have ability to use measuring equipment and interpret drawings, working knowledge of CNC Turning machines, and experience with tooling setup. Familiarity with Fanuc and Mazatrol controlled machinery is desirable. Key responsibilities include setting and operating CNC Turning Machines within the Cell, adjusting machine controls, and ensuring part dimensions meet specified tolerances.

In this role, you will work from CAD designs and specifications to complete various machining operations. Quality control is essential, with responsible use of CMM and shadowgraph machines to ensure own quality.
