Job Overview:

We are seeking a qualified Tutor in Child Development to join our team at First Step Daycare. As a key member of our childcare team, you will play a vital role in the growth and development of our young learners.

About the Role:

This is a permanent full-time position working 35 hours per week. The successful candidate will have a strong passion for early childhood education and be committed to providing a nurturing and engaging environment for children aged 0-5 years.

Responsibilities:

  • Bathe, diaper and feed infants and toddlers
  • Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children
  • Lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs and taking children to local points of interest
  • Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing and toilet habits
  • Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioural problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians or supervisor
  • Knowledge of licensing regulations
  • Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security and well-being of children

Requirements:

  • College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
  • Will train

Salary and Benefits:

The salary for this role is estimated to be around $45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package including health and dental insurance, retirement savings plan and paid time off.
