About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Energy Transition Lead to join our team at Steer. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our energy transition advisory practice, providing expert guidance to clients on the commercial and technical aspects of decentralized energy projects.

  • Manage complex client engagements, leveraging your expertise to deliver high-quality results.
  • Develop and maintain industry knowledge, staying up-to-date on the latest market trends and technologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive growth and innovation in our energy transition practice.
  • Provide technical and commercial expertise to junior team members, helping them to develop their skills and knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the origination and delivery of public sector mandates, including existing mandates supporting the GHNF fund and BHIVE platform.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, identifying opportunities to grow our business and deliver value-added services.
  • Lead the development of proposals and pitches, working closely with senior management to ensure alignment with our business strategy.
  • Manage budgets and timelines, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Requirements:

  • First-level university degree in business administration or a relevant field, such as economics, law, finance, sciences, or engineering.
  • ACA/CIMA/CFA/IA or equivalent professional certification.
  • Proven track record of success in energy transition advisory, with a strong understanding of the commercial and technical aspects of decentralized energy projects.
