Mechanical Estimator

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Estimator to join our team at Unite People, a leading contractor on AMP 7 & 8 water frameworks across the UK.

• Prepare detailed mechanical estimates for projects, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Develop scopes from drawings, specifications, and Project Control Documents (PCDs), identifying errors and omissions.
• Source and price materials and subcontractors, conducting technical and commercial appraisals.
• Contribute to risk identification and pricing throughout the bid process.
• Attend site visits and assist in preparing the M&E Tender Book.
• Create top-down estimates using agreed schedules of rates and cost curves for benchmarking.

We are looking for a degree-level qualified Mechanical or Electrical Engineer (Chartered status preferred) with experience in estimating and project management.

You will have excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
