EMEA Policy and Regulatory Affairs Lead

Deel Inc., a leading platform for global hiring, is seeking a seasoned policy expert to lead its public affairs efforts in the European, Middle Eastern, and African (EMEA) region. This critical role will focus on developing and executing policy strategies, fostering strong external relationships, and positioning Deel as a thought leader in the future of work.
About the RoleThe Director of Policy, EMEA, will be responsible for:
- Leading Deel's policy and government affairs strategy across EMEA, focusing on key areas like workforce innovation, AI, immigration, and financial services.
- Monitoring and addressing regulatory or geopolitical risks that could impact Deel's operations, ensuring proactive responses to challenges.
- Drafting consultation responses and position papers, and engaging with policymakers to influence legislative and regulatory developments.
- Representing Deel in Brussels, London, and other capitals to drive coalitions and advance policy objectives.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Legal, Compliance, Marketing, Sales, and Product, to align policy initiatives with business goals.
The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of experience in public policy, government affairs, or regulatory roles, preferably within technology, human resources, or financial services. They will possess a proven ability to build and lead campaigns or coalitions, engaging multiple stakeholders to achieve policy goals.
Requirements- Deep understanding of the political and regulatory landscape in the EMEA region.
- Experience working cross-functionally with teams in Legal, Compliance, Marketing, and Product.
- Analytical and proactive, with the ability to monitor and mitigate regulatory and geopolitical risks.
- Willingness to travel to key capitals, including Brussels and London, as needed.
Our estimated salary for this role is $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on location and experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including stock grant opportunities, additional perks, and remote work flexibility.
