Job Summary

We are seeking a Safety Engineering Consultant to join our Asset Performance Services business line. As a key member of our team, you will deliver world-class safety solutions to our clients, providing independent and assured safety advice to support their compliance with UK safety legislation and MOD Safety policy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the delivery of safety projects to schedule, quality, and budget, while meeting client and corporate expectations.
  • Develop and manage hazard logs, facilitate HAZID and hazard review meetings, and author safety assessment/safety case reports.
  • Provide justification of the ALARP status of products and ensure statutory safety legislation compliance.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders, presenting professionally both verbally and in writing.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to achieve project goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • Experience in safety and risk management techniques, processes, and concepts, particularly in the UK Defence sector.
  • Knowledge of UK MOD safety regulation, policy, and standards, including DSA Regulations, MRP, JSP 375, and ASEMS.
  • Practical experience in developing and managing hazard logs, facilitating HAZID and hazard review meetings, and authoring safety assessment/safety case reports.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills, with the ability to work well in a team.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to professional accreditation, such as IEng or CEng.
