The Safety Director Pharmacovigilance role is a unique opportunity to lead the design, delivery, and implementation of critical safety programs with a global impact.

About the Role

This position involves delivering strategic solutions and leading the implementation of key organizational/process changes to ensure GSK complies with pharmacovigilance regulations worldwide. The successful candidate will develop strategy and lead the implementation of core business activities, seeking endorsement from the Central Safety Leadership team.

The Safety Director Pharmacovigilance will lead the review and re-design of critical business processes, deliver solutions that align across business units, and develop and lead training/change management activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver strategic solutions and lead the implementation for key organizational/process changes ensuring compliance with pharmacovigilance regulations worldwide.
  • Develop strategy and lead the implementation of core business activities (e.g., Communications, Information Management, Training), seeking endorsement from the Central Safety Leadership team.
  • Lead the review and re-design of critical business processes; deliver solutions that align across business units; develop and lead training/change management activities.
  • Provide specific subject matter expertise on relevant business processes to ensure regulatory compliance and appropriate management of risk across GSK.
  • Secretariat to Central Safety governance boards/leadership teams as appropriate; provision of appropriate project management leadership.
Requirements

The ideal candidate should have prior experience managing multiple strategy formulation and change projects. Experience with pharmacovigilance processes and global pharmacovigilance regulations is essential. A Bachelor's degree is required, and an advanced degree in Life Sciences or Pharmacovigilance is preferred.

Estimated Salary: £70,000 - £90,000 per annum
