Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is approximately £45,000 per annum, including overtime. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer:

  • A shift allowance of £84.06 per week when working the 13:30-21:30 shift
  • An additional weekend supplement on Saturday (£50 per shift) and Sunday (£100 per shift)
  • 22.5 days annual holiday (plus bank holidays), rising with service

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join our team at Tyneside Workshop. As a Master Commercial Vehicle Technician, you will be responsible for performing a full range of inspections, diagnostic, maintenance, and repair procedures on a range of vehicles, trailers, and mechanical equipment.

You will work on a flexible shift rota, rotating between 06:30-14:45 and 13:30-21:30. You will also be required to work 1 in 3 Saturdays and Sundays.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Full IMI Level 3 qualification in Light or Heavy vehicle mechanics
  • Varied vehicle experience, preferably working on LCV/HGV
  • A valid UK driving licence
  • High working standards and flexibility to adapt to service demands
