Job Title: Science Educator

We are seeking a dedicated and fully qualified Science Educator to join our permanent staff list from September 2024.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, preparing, and delivering high-quality Science lessons that meet the diverse needs and abilities of SEN students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver engaging Science lessons that cater to the unique needs of SEN students.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and adapting teaching strategies as needed.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external professionals to ensure a holistic approach to student development.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of student progress and achievements.
  • Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and learning.
Requirements:
  • A recognized teaching qualification (QTS) with a specialization in Science education.
  • Proven experience teaching Science within a special educational needs (SEN) setting.
  • Exceptional classroom management skills, the ability to differentiate instruction, and a patient, empathetic approach tailored to the individual needs of students.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Science curriculum across Key Stages 3 and 4, and familiarity with Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and their effective implementation.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage and collaborate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
