This is an exciting opportunity for a healthcare professional to provide high-quality pharmacy services to our patients, while also contributing to the success of our prison healthcare team.

  • Lead the provision and delivery of an integrated, safe, legal, and high-quality prison pharmaceutical service within the HMP site.
  • Assist with the planning, organization, and delivery of all pharmacy operational services, including dispensary services and treatment rooms.
  • Promote a safe service and work closely with all Prison Healthcare Team members to meet the needs of patients.
Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing induction, training, education, supervision, and appraisals to Pharmacy operational staff and those involved in medication administration.
  • Delivering and being responsible for planning, organizing, and delivering all pharmacy operational services, including dispensary services and treatment rooms.
  • Sharing and working in partnership with the lead pharmacist to set strategic objectives, service improvement plans, and innovations.
