Fire Alarm Service Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Fire Alarm Service Engineer to join our team at Marble Talent Group Ltd. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, servicing, and repair of fire alarm systems in various settings, including commercial, industrial, and residential properties.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular maintenance and servicing of fire alarm systems to ensure they remain fully operational and compliant with safety regulations.
  • Fault Finding and Repairs:
    • Diagnose and rectify faults on fire alarm systems, ensuring minimal disruption to the client's operations.
    • Carry out repairs and replace components as necessary, following all safety protocols.
  • Ensure all work complies with relevant industry standards (e.g., BS 5839) and local fire safety regulations.
  • Complete detailed service reports, maintenance records, and certification of systems.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all inspections, tests, and repairs conducted.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Essential:
    • Proven experience as a Fire Alarm Service Engineer or similar role.
    • In-depth knowledge of fire alarm systems, including conventional and addressable systems.
    • Understanding of BS 5839 and other relevant fire safety standards.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
    • Full UK driving license
  • Desirable:
    • Certification in fire alarm systems (e.g., FIA, BAFE, or equivalent).
    • Experience with emergency lighting systems and other fire safety equipment.
    • Electrical engineering qualification (NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent).
Package:
  • Salary up to £40,000 DOE
