BDO UK LLP, a leading accountancy and business advisory firm, seeks an experienced IT professional to join its team as a Cyber Security Technical Assurance Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading on technical assurance to mature the company's cyber security posture.

With a strong background in cloud security, vulnerability management, and threat intelligence, the ideal candidate will have experience working with Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) and Vulnerability Management platforms. They will utilise these platforms to continuously assess BDO's overall cyber security posture, providing data-driven insights to help drive the overall Cyber Security strategy and compliance obligations.

The role requires a deep understanding of Breach and Attack Simulation methodology, including DLP, EDR/XDR, CASB, E-mail Security, SWG, and ZTNA/SASE. The successful candidate will also have experience managing complex deliveries of technical projects and proven experience in cybersecurity. In addition, they should have Threat and Vulnerability Management vendor certifications and hold relevant industry-recognized qualifications such as EST CPSA/CRT or CREST CRTIA.

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled IT professional to join a dynamic team and contribute to the development of a Cybersecurity Operations Resource and Capacity planner managed through BDO's Azure DevOps environment.

As a Cyber Security Technical Assurance Specialist, you will work closely with the CISO and Governance team, providing technical guidance and ensuring technical vulnerabilities are understood and managed against defined standards and policies. You will also be responsible for staying up-to-date on the latest cyber security threats and trends, identifying, reviewing, and continuously assuring BDO security control effectiveness.

In this role, you will provide guidance and training to internal IT teams on security and assurance assessments, control testing techniques, and best practice. You will also engage with relevant 3rd party technology partners where required and contribute to the development of a Cybersecurity knowledgebase comprising technical reference libraries, security advisories, and alerts.

We offer a competitive salary of £85,000 - £110,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits including agile working, career development opportunities, and a comprehensive pension scheme.
