About the RoleThis is a challenging yet rewarding opportunity for an individual with a strong understanding of water hygiene regulations and a proven track record in risk assessments, sampling, and treatment. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting thorough risk assessments in accordance with ACOP L8 guidelines, identifying potential hazards and developing appropriate control measures.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting water sampling and testing to identify microbiological and chemical contaminants;
- Implementing effective water treatment and disinfection programs to control microbial growth and maintain water quality;
- Maintaining accurate records of temperature monitoring and reporting any deviations from regulatory requirements.
The ideal candidate will have relevant qualifications in water hygiene or a related field (e.g., City & Guilds Water Hygiene Certificate, Level 2 Plumbing) and a valid driving license. A competitive salary of £50,000-£65,000 per annum is offered, dependent on experience, plus ongoing training and development opportunities, a pension scheme, and private healthcare.
